Join the DiscordWhat is FiveM?
FiveM is a modification framework for Grand Theft Auto V that lets you play on custom multiplayer servers. Instead of the standard online mode, you join community-run servers with their own rules, jobs, vehicles and systems. Homebase Roleplay is one of those servers. You can download FiveM from fivem.net.
What is roleplay (RP) in GTA?
Roleplay, often shortened to RP, means playing a character in a shared, believable world instead of just playing to win. On a GTA V roleplay server you might be a police officer responding to calls, a criminal planning a robbery, a business owner, or a civilian with a job and a story of your own. Everything you do happens in character, and other players react to you as they would to a real person.
Homebase Roleplay is built around interaction between players rather than menus and paperwork. Read more on the about page.
Tips if you are new to FiveM roleplay
- Play a character, not yourself. Give them a name, a background and a goal.
- Give other players room to react. Good roleplay is a conversation, not a script.
- Keep it believable. If something would not happen in real life, think twice before doing it in character.
- Ask questions. The Homebase community and staff are in the Discord.
