Serious roleplay
Serious roleplay asks players to stay in character, treat consequences as real and keep scenes believable. It rewards patience and interaction.
Casual roleplay
Casual servers are lighter on rules. They are often more comedic and open to unrealistic situations, and they ask less of newcomers.
Where Homebase sits
Homebase Roleplay is a serious, economy-based server. Serious does not mean stiff, though. The design goal is less paperwork and more interaction, so you spend your time with other players instead of in menus. See about Homebase.
